Happy New Year

So 2010 has crept up on us and is finally here… so Happy New Year! I hope it’s a good one for you!

The start of a new year is traditional for it’s resolutions. New year, new start & all that. Lots of people vow to give up smoking, or to lose a couple of pounds after all the over-eating during the festive period. Me? I tend to ignore resolutions as I never stick to them anyway!

However, at the beginning of December 09, I came across Project52. Check out the website for more details but summing it up in one sentence, “Project52 is a personal challenge geared toward getting fresh content on your website”.

The idea is to write & publish one post or article on your website every week for a year (52 weeks = 52 posts.. you get the idea). I’ve signed up for this already!

I’ve wanted to focus my site for a while now (mrqwest.co.uk). Any posts seem to be about random things and it’s all a bit scatty. So I signed up for Project52 to: –

1. give me a challenge
2. get me writing more
3. to try and forge a focus for this site.

After 52 weeks, there should be some sort of pattern to the theme of the articles and I should be in more of a flow to carry on!

I’m not too sure how it’ll go. They’ll be weeks that I’ll miss (although I will try and keep those to a minimum) and some articles that’ll go off on a tangent but I do aim to complete this.

So here we go. This’ll be the first of many posts this year. They may not all interest you… there’ll be some tutorials (maybe), some CSS bits, some tech-related tomfoolery & maybe some game reviews or just random stuff that interests me.
