Project 52

10 March 10

At the start of the year, I announced I’d be having a go at Project52, a challenge to write one article a week for a year.

Nice idea – hard in practice.

To be honest, I suprised myself by tapping out 6 articles covering various topics like web apps, CSS & a smattering of design.

The last article I wrote was the 5th February and I had every intention in continuing. I had several articles ‘in progress’… my thoughts on the iPad, the ongoing debate about whether designers should know how to ‘code’ and why I think users are idiots… but they all got side-tracked and will probably sit in my drafts folder for a while yet.

After I failed at project52, I lost the will to carry on with writing each week & decided to post as & when I felt necessary, but Anton (Project52) has decided to reboot the challenge starting March 17th – St Patricks Day!

So I’ve already begun tapping out ideas on what to write about but this time round, but I’m not going to stress about completing a post a week. It’d be nice if I do – but in all honesty, I’m doing this because I want to write more and improve my wording & flow.

Why not leave a comment?

  1. I missed the starting gun earlier this year, I didn’t feel I was up to writing more but since then I’ve started jotting ideas more often so I think I’m going to give it a crack too :)
