du Boulay Contracts are main contractors in the commercial refurbishment sector of the construction industry. Working from offices in the unique Royal Victoria Patriotic Building in Wandsworth SW18, the company has built up an enviable reputation over 35 years in the field of fitting out licensed premises – predominantly restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs. In addition we have fitted out many offices, casinos, hotels, airport lounges, and high street multiple units. We specialise in the contract range from £50,000 to over £1m.
We aim to offer a comprehensive turn key operation for our clients from advance project planning and design advice through all the structural and engineering considerations to the fitting out process and hand over of a complete and fully functioning unit. Projects are usually undertaken on a partnering arrangement with a negotiated contract. This enables projects to be better planned and resourced from the outset with the whole team engaged from an early stage. This dramatically improves the site built process and leads to a high quality fit out.
We pride ourselves on our ability to work on projects involving complex or difficult buildings often requiring major structural alterations and in difficult site conditions. To this end we have undertaken projects in airports and railway stations, sensitive listed buildings, multi occupancy buildings and shopping malls.
The two Contract Directors – David du Boulay and Michael Reed share an instinctive knowledge of what will work from the viewpoint of both the client and their customers, and an attention to detail that satisfies the most demanding architect / designer. Drawing on a wide network of suppliers and subcontractors, they take pride in impeccable organisational skills and a profound understanding of the client’s requirements for keeping to budget and time constraints.
Our skilled tradesmen and craftsmen are experienced with the high quality finishes found in restaurant fitting out projects, involving hardwood joinery, marble and stonework, structural and decorative glass, architectural metalwork, upholstery, decorative plasterwork and specialist decorating and fine furnishing.
